Additional information

Part of Perth Mint's long-running "Australian Sea Life" bullion series, this issue uses pad printing — an industrial transfer process borrowed from commercial manufacturing — to apply color directly onto the struck surface, a technique Perth adopted in the mid-2000s when collector demand for colored coins outpaced what enamel application could supply at volume.
