| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a detailed high-relief portrait of Saruman the White, the corrupted wizard of Middle-earth, shown facing slightly left with long white hair and beard. He is portrayed gazing downward toward a coloured palantír — the seeing-stone — rendered in vivid polychrome enamel with fiery red, orange, and purple hues, set centrally in the lower field. An engraved figure of Frodo Baggins carrying the One Ring appears in miniature at the left of the palantír, accompanied by the incuse inscription YOU CANNOT HIDE. I SEE YOU. The architectural elements of Orthanc tower are engraved in the background, and the ornate border features repeating stylised motifs with two red-coloured rune-like sigils flanking the field at the mid-horizon. The upper legend reads THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING * 20TH ANNIVERSARY, and the denomination ONE DOLLAR is inscribed along the lower rim. |
