The outer ring is divided into eight segments, each bearing the coloured badge or emblem of one of the six Australian states and the Northern Territory, with the badge of Western Australia highlighted in full colour. The inner dump features a vibrant colour-printed representation of the Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthos manglesii), the floral emblem of Western Australia. The surrounding legend records the names of the states and territories along with the commemorative inscription CENTENARY OF FEDERATION 1901-2001, and the Perth Mint's P mintmark. |
