| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse depicts a detailed rendition of the Melbourne monument to the explorers Robert O'Hara Burke and William John Wills, sculpted by Charles Summers. Burke is shown standing upright in explorer's attire with a satchel strap across his chest and a rifle at his side, while Wills is seated to his left. The figures are presented on a stepped plinth occupying the central field. The legend BURKE & WILLS arcs across the upper field, with the Perth Mint mintmark P at the lower left and the designer's initials AH at the lower right of the exergue. |
