| Description du revers | The reverse features a genuine fragment of Australian white mother-of-pearl shell set into a recessed, organically shaped cavity at the centre of the field, evoking the natural contour of the pearl oyster shell. The silver surround is engraved with radiating fine lines that accentuate the lustrous, iridescent inlay. The legend AUSTRALIAN WHITE MOTHER OF PEARL SHELL arcs along the lower border in incuse lettering. The Perth Mint's P mintmark appears to the left, and the engraver's initials NM are visible near the upper right of the cavity rim. |
