| Reverse description | A gold-gilded kookaburra perched on a gold-gilded branch occupies the centre of the field, rendered in high relief with finely engraved feather detail. Radiating lines emanate from behind the bird, evoking sunburst imagery against a frosted silver field. The circumferential legend THE AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA arcs around the upper portion of the coin within a beaded inner border. Below the central motif, a recessed banner cartouche bears the fineness inscription 1oz 999 SILVER, with the year 2009 prominently displayed at the base. The privy mark P20, denoting the 20th anniversary edition, appears to the lower left of the central design. |
