Beschrijving keerzijde The registered All Blacks silver fern logo occupies the centre of the field, rendered in bold relief with a stylised geometric treatment. A repeating diagonal fern-frond pattern fills the entire background in frosted finish, creating a striking contrast with the polished elements. The denomination 'ONE DOLLAR' is inscribed along the upper left arc of the legend, while the trademarked name 'ALL BLACKS' appears in bold lettering across the lower field, accompanied by the registered trademark symbol ® to the right.

Aanvullende informatie

Issued to coincide with New Zealand's hosting of the 2011 Rugby World Cup, which the All Blacks won — ending a 24-year drought since their only previous title in 1987. The tournament's commercial success drove an unusually broad range of commemorative issues from the Reserve Bank, this coin among them.

The reverse frosted finish was applied selectively to circulation-weight stock rather than reserved for proof sets, a production choice that has left this issue occupying an awkward middle ground for collectors.
