Obverse description The obverse features the third portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown and a pearl drop earring, as modelled by engraver Raphael David Maklouf. The truncation of the neck is visible at the lower centre of the field. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' curves along the left inner edge of the octagonal border, while 'FIJI' and the date appear along the right inner edge. The design is contained within a raised octagonal inner border set against the round coin flan.
