背面描述 A group of eleven Czechoslovak footballers in uniform stands in a line across the upper central field, depicted in low relief as if lined up before a match. Below the group, a color-printed waving Czechoslovak national flag occupies the lower central field, rendered in blue, white, and red enamel. The upper legend arcs RUNNER-UP FOOTBALL WORLD CUP 1934·1962 CZECHOSLOVAKIA around the border, while ONE DOLLAR is inscribed along the lower border. The design commemorates Czechoslovakia's runner-up finishes at the 1934 and 1962 FIFA World Cup tournaments.

附加信息

Cook Islands issued a wave of commemorative dollars around the turn of the millennium targeting the thematic collector market, and this piece fits squarely in that run. The 1934 tournament in Italy and the 1962 tournament in Chile both ended with Czechoslovakia as runner-up — the only nation to finish second twice without ever winning the tournament outright. In 1934 they lost to the host nation Italy in extra time; in 1962 they fell to Brazil 3–1.
