Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II 1 DOLLAR COOK ISLANDS IRB 2012
Reverse description Central high-relief scene depicting a formally dressed Edwardian couple — a gentleman in white tie and a lady in period evening attire — standing together on the grand staircase of the RMS Titanic, with ornate wrought-iron balustrades and an elaborately decorated arched doorway visible in the background. The legend FIRST CLASS - 329 PASSENGERS arcs along the upper periphery. A horizontal band in the lower field bears the inscription RMS TITANIC in bold raised letters, beneath which a small enameled White Star Line flag in red and white adds a polychrome accent. The word CENTENARY appears in the lower exergue in serif lettering.
