| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Palau displayed in high relief within a shield-shaped escutcheon, depicting a traditional Palauan fisherman in a canoe at the top, a sea deity bearing a trident flanked by a mermaid in the central field, and a chest of treasure at lower left.
