Obverse description Circular wooden disc with a decorative wreath border of stylized leaves and berries encircling the entire periphery. The field, exhibiting the natural grain of the wood, bears multiple lines of stamped Latin lettering arranged concentrically: 'SECOND ISSUE' arching at the top, followed by 'REDEEMABLE / DECEMBER 1, 1933' in the upper field, then 'CITY OF / NORTH BEND / OREGON' prominently in the center. Below the place name appear two facsimile cursive signatures identifying the municipal officials: J. N. Hartley as Treasurer (left) and Edgar McDaniel as Mayor (right), each with their respective titles lettered beneath.
