背面描述 Printed entirely in red, the reverse is dominated by a central oval vignette of a Chinese sailing junk under full sail on open water, enclosed within an elaborate floral and lace-work guilloche border. 备注

The Chekiang Provincial Bank was one of several provincial institutions still issuing notes in 1949 as the Nationalist government collapsed around them. This dollar note appeared in the same year the People's Republic was proclaimed — meaning its useful circulation life was measured in months at best, cut short by the Communist monetary consolidation that replaced provincial and nationalist paper with the renminbi.

The Central Engraving and Printing Bureau, operating under Nationalist authority, was printing currency for institutions that were rapidly losing territorial control. Notes from this period frequently survive in unissued condition simply because distribution networks had already broken down before the print runs could reach circulation.
