Beschrijving keerzijde A richly colored depiction of a coiled golden snake draped around a bare tree branch, rendered in vivid yellow and brown applied color with detailed scale patterning. The snake's head extends alertly to the right, with autumn-foliage trees in orange and gold occupying the background in color, while the lower right portion of the field depicts a traditional East Asian pagoda-style architectural structure in uncolored relief. The Perth Mint mintmark 'P' appears in the left field, and the designer's initials 'LB' are visible near the architectural element at lower right.

Aanvullende informatie

The "Year of the Snake" series continues Perth Mint's long-running Lunar program, first launched in 1996 and now in its third cycle. Each 12-year cycle restarts the same zodiac sequence with updated designs, meaning this is the third distinct Snake dollar Perth has produced — previous iterations appeared in 1989 (before the formal Lunar series), 2001, and 2013. The quadrant format divides the full design across four separately issued coins, a format Perth has deployed with increasing frequency to drive set completion among collectors.
