Reverse description The reverse depicts a richly detailed scene inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale The Snow Queen, rendered with selective colour application in shades of blue and teal. Dominating the field is a large profile bust of a beautiful young woman with flowing blue hair adorned with a tiara and large crystalline snowflakes, her serene visage occupying the upper and central portion of the design. In the lower field, a winter landscape is depicted with snow-covered fir trees and a village building, before which a small child approaches the regal, full-length figure of the Snow Queen, who stands at right wearing an elaborate crown and gown and holding a sceptre. The field is further enriched with intricately engraved snowflake motifs of varying sizes scattered throughout the composition. No legends or inscriptions appear on the reverse.
