| Obverse description | The obverse depicts a full-color representation of the open Fabergé 'Spring Flowers' Imperial Easter Egg (created circa 1899-1903), rendered in rich crimson enamel with ornate gold-toned mounts and set upon a carved nephrite and gilt base. The egg is shown open, its two hinged halves spread wide to reveal the concealed surprise: an intricate miniature wicker basket containing a bouquet of white anemone blossoms with green foliate accents. A subtly patterned lattice field surrounds the central motif, and the Coat of Arms of Niue appears in association with the denominational and issuer legends.
