Obverse description Uncrowned, bare-headed effigy of King Charles III facing left, modelled in high relief with fine detail to the hair and facial features, after the portrait by sculptor Jody Clark, whose initials JC appear beneath the truncation. The peripheral legend reads CHARLES III to the upper left and NIUE 2026 to the upper right, with ONE DOLLAR along the right margin and the specification 1oz 999 SILVER along the lower arc, all separated by raised bullet points. The mirror-polished proof field provides strong contrast to the frosted portrait.

Reverse description The reverse features two red kangaroos (Macropus rufus) rendered in vivid applied colour against a finely engraved silver background of native Australian scrubland vegetation including spinifex grasses and reed-like plants. A close-up portrait of an adult red kangaroo dominates the right and centre of the field, facing left with striking naturalistic detail to the fur, eye, and muzzle. A second full-bodied kangaroo, depicted alert and upright on a rocky outcrop, appears to the upper left in a smaller vignette. The inscription RED KANGAROO appears along the lower left inner border in raised letters, accompanied by an engraver's monogram IG in a circular device in the lower centre field.
