| Opis rewersu | A large equal-armed cross of Maltese form dominates the entire field, its four arms extending nearly to the inner border of the coin. The surface of the cross is richly decorated with two distinct ornamental registers: the upper arm displays intricate filigree-like scrollwork with granulation motifs, evoking medieval jewellery craftsmanship, while the lower arm is covered with elaborate interlaced knotwork in the Celtic or Romanesque tradition. The intersection of the arms features layered decorative elements including a central boss and delicate engraved patterns. The plain polished field surrounding the cross creates a strong contrast with the deeply engraved ornamental surfaces. No legend or inscription appears on the reverse. |
