Obverse description The Public Seal of Niue occupies the central field, depicted within a circular cartouche surmounted by a royal crown and framed by an ornate wreath of interlinked oval motifs. Below the seal, two crossed ceremonial spears are rendered in relief, bearing a scroll with the motto ATUA / NIUE TUKULAGI. The lower portion of the field is adorned with an elaborate symmetrical arrangement of stylised floral and foliate ornaments in high relief. The legend 2024 ONE DOLLAR arcs along the upper left and right periphery, with the Czech Mint privy mark visible to the right.

Reverse description A large equal-armed cross of Maltese form dominates the entire field, its four arms extending nearly to the inner border of the coin. The surface of the cross is richly decorated with two distinct ornamental registers: the upper arm displays intricate filigree-like scrollwork with granulation motifs, evoking medieval jewellery craftsmanship, while the lower arm is covered with elaborate interlaced knotwork in the Celtic or Romanesque tradition. The intersection of the arms features layered decorative elements including a central boss and delicate engraved patterns. The plain polished field surrounding the cross creates a strong contrast with the deeply engraved ornamental surfaces. No legend or inscription appears on the reverse.
