Additional information

Niue's dollar coinage exists almost entirely as a licensed vehicle for themed bullion and collector issues — the island's own GDP wouldn't justify a mint program. This piece is part of a long-running series exploiting the Louvre's open licensing of certain Leonardo images for commercial reproduction, a practice that has generated dozens of near-identical issues across multiple sovereign licensees since the early 2010s.

Gold-plated .999 silver at one troy ounce is the workhorse specification of this entire collector segment. KM#7110 will not be the last Mona Lisa dollar Niue issues.
