| Obverse description | Central device depicts the crowned Public Seal of Niue enclosed within a laurel wreath, itself centered within a large ship's helm (steering wheel) rendered in high relief. The spokes of the helm radiate outward into a border populated by six mythological and marine figures: two mermen holding tridents at the sides, a crab at the top, two squid-like sea creatures at the upper flanks, and two sea dragons at the lower flanks, all set against a wave-scroll background. The inscriptions '1oz 999 SILVER' and 'ONE DOLLAR' arc across the inner ring on either side of the seal, with 'ATUA', 'NIUE TUKULAGI', and '2026' appearing on the seal's ribbon and below it. The issuer name 'NIUE' is inscribed in large letters at the base of the field. |
