Jemima Puddle-Duck first appeared in Beatrix Potter's 1908 illustrated tale, written partly as a commentary on the indignity of having one's eggs removed by a farmer — based directly on a real duck Potter kept at Hill Top Farm in Cumbria. The Solomon Islands have issued a sustained run of small-format silver pieces under Charles III, and this belongs to that programme.
