Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse, shaped as a heart-formed Bodhi leaf with finely engraved venation across the gold-plated field, bears a vivid full-colour polychrome depiction of the Egyptian goddess Isis rendered in the style of ancient Egyptian temple art. The goddess is shown in three-quarter facing bust, her head turned in profile to the right, adorned with a solar disc flanked by cow horns as her crown and wearing an elaborate broad collar necklace and traditional linen garments. Her large, richly coloured wings, rendered in deep blue, red, and gold, are dramatically outstretched to either side and raised upward, nearly filling the entire leaf-shaped field. The naturalistic colouring and stylised hieratic pose evoke canonical New Kingdom Egyptian iconography.

Aanvullende informatie

Niue has functioned as a prolific licensing vehicle for the Perth Mint and other international minting houses since the 1990s, its legal tender framework making it convenient for commemorative programs that have no organic connection to the island's roughly 1,500 inhabitants. This piece belongs to that commercial tradition entirely — a privately marketed collector product using Niue's issuing authority as a formality.

The Isis series draws on sustained collector demand for Egyptian-themed bullion hybrids, a market segment that expanded sharply after several European mints demonstrated its profitability in the 2010s.
