| Obverse description | The central field bears the Public Seal of Niue, depicted as an ornate crowned cartouche enclosing a stylized floral and foliate motif, flanked by crossed ceremonial weapons on a ribbon inscribed ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI. The denomination ONE DOLLAR arcs above the seal in the upper field, while the fineness mark Ag 999 appears to the right and the date 2023 is positioned below. Surrounding the central device, a decorative border of twenty assorted biscuits and confections rendered in high relief encircles the design, several of which are enhanced with polychrome coloring, including a heart-shaped jam biscuit with a red crystalline glaze and two colorfully iced cookies at lower left. The mint mark of the Lithuanian Mint appears in the left field. The antiqued finish imparts a rich, matte texture to the silver surfaces throughout. |
