| Aanvullende informatie |
Australia's lunar coin series traces back to 1999, when the Perth Mint launched what became one of the longest-running annual animal cycle programs from any sovereign mint. The 2025 Snake issue is the third iteration of the third full lunar cycle — the series has now completed enough rotations that collectors can directly compare design evolution across equivalent years from 1989, 2001, 2013, and now 2025.
Charles III's effigy appears here in its first portrait configuration, the Ian Rank-Broadley replacement having served Australian coinage since 1998 before the accession necessitated a new obverse master.
