| 正面描述 | Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and collar, after the portrait by sculptor Dominic Tatcher. The legend CHARLES III arcs along the upper left and AUSTRALIA along the upper right, flanking the bust. The denomination 1 DOLLAR is inscribed along the lower arc, separated on each side by a raised dot, with the engraver's initials DT incuse at the truncation. The deeply mirrored proof field contrasts sharply with the frosted relief of the portrait. |

The Wedge-tailed Eagle series is among Perth Mint's most technically demanding annual programs, and the Ultra High Relief format pushes that further — requiring modified planchet preparation and multiple strikes per coin to achieve the depth of relief without metal flow defects. The reverse proof finish, inverting the frosted and mirrored fields from the standard proof treatment, was introduced to the series to differentiate annual releases as collector fatigue with the format grew.
This is the first year of issue to carry the Ian Rank-Broadley replacement portrait of Charles III by Kings Currency.
