| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Charles III facing left, modelled by engraver Dominic Taylor, whose initials DT appear in the lower field to the right of the portrait. The legend CHARLES III arcs along the upper left rim and AUSTRALIA along the upper right rim, with the denomination 1 DOLLAR inscribed along the lower rim. Two small pellets flank the base of the portrait on either side, serving as separators between the legend segments. |

The Perth Mint privy mark P125 and the mintmaster initials WR are also present in the legend. |
