| 正面描述 | Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief against a finely textured field, as adapted by Dan Thorne for Australian coinage. The portrait depicts the King in a suit with a visible collar and lapel, conveying a contemporary, non-regal presentation. The legend CHARLES III curves along the upper left periphery, and AUSTRALIA arcs along the upper right, while the denomination 1 DOLLAR appears in the lower field beneath the effigy. The engraver's initials DT are incused discreetly near the truncation of the portrait. |

Australia's "Lest We Forget" dollar series has run long enough that the Royal Australian Mint has cycled through multiple commemorative angles on Anzac remembrance — this 2025 release is also among the earliest coins to carry the first portrait of Charles III on Australian circulation coinage, following the formal portrait adoption after Elizabeth II's death in September 2022. The transition between monarchs on Australian coinage involved a portrait by Glenys Simonds, approved for circulation use.
