Moorea has no independent monetary authority and issues no legal tender of its own — it is a commune of French Polynesia, which itself uses the CFP franc issued by the Institut d'émission d'outre-mer. Any coin attributed to "Moorea" as an issuer is a private fantasy piece, produced outside any governmental mandate and circulating nowhere.
