| 正面描述 | Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and collar, as designed by Steven Sutton. The portrait is set within a beaded inner border running along the coin's eleven-sided perimeter. The legend CHARLES III is inscribed along the left field, while D • G • REX arcs along the right field, both in raised Latin lettering. The plain field surrounding the portrait gives the design a clean, contemporary aesthetic consistent with the standard Royal Canadian Mint obverse for the Charles III era. |

Canada's dollar coin has featured the common loon since 1987, displacing the original Voyageur design that had run since 1935. The Canada Geese substitution for 2026 is almost certainly a commemorative or themed circulation variant — the Royal Canadian Mint has periodically issued alternative reverse designs on the loonie format, most notably the poppy dollar and various wildlife issues, without altering the base specifications.
Brass-plated steel replaced the original aureate bronze alloy in 2012 as a cost-cutting measure under the Economic Action Plan.
