Reverse description A facing portrait bust of Sir Alexander Bustamante, Jamaica's first Prime Minister and national hero, is rendered in high relief at the center of the field. The effigy depicts Bustamante in a suit and tie, his broad facial features modelled with considerable sculptural detail. A circular legend surrounds the portrait, reading BUSTAMANTE along the upper arc and 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF BIRTH along the lower arc, with the commemorative date span 1884-1984 positioned to the right. Bullet-point separators punctuate the legend at intervals, and a beaded border frames the entire composition.
