Obverse description The obverse features the Fijian coat of arms displayed within a central circle, depicting two Fijian warriors as supporters flanking a quartered shield, with a British lion above and a dove below, all rendered in high relief against a polished field. The year of issue is divided either side of the coat of arms, reading '20' to the left and '17' to the right. The upper portion of the field above the central circle bears the country name 'FIJI' in raised Latin lettering. The lower portion of the obverse field depicts the cratered surface of the Moon in low relief, evoking the lunar landscape.
