Angola has no historical or monetary connection to Papua New Guinea, and no documented reason exists for PNG to have issued a dollar-denominated coin bearing Angola's name in 2017. This piece almost certainly originates from one of several private minting operations that produce souvenir or fantasy issues attributed to real nations — Papua New Guinea's name lends nominal legitimacy while the "Angola" subject fills a thematic series. It is not legal tender in any meaningful sense.
