| Obverse description | The obverse presents a high-relief, shaped silhouette of a winged female allegorical figure — the Angel of Independence — depicted in a dynamic, forward-striding pose with large outstretched wings filling the coin's contour. The figure raises her right arm aloft, holding a laurel wreath crown, while her left hand grasps a torch or sceptre at her side; her draped robes flow naturalistically around her lower body. The coin itself is die-cut to follow the outline of the figure, standing on a small rectangular plinth at the base. The legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA is incused across the upper body of the figure between the wings, with the denomination 1 Dollar Copper and the date 2026 inscribed in the lower portion of the field. |

| Additional information |
The Angel of Independence — formally the Ángel de la Independencia — stands atop a column on the Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City, erected in 1910 to mark the centenary of Mexico's war of independence. Liberia has no political or historical connection to that monument. These privately produced legal-tender issues, licensed through the Central Bank of Liberia, exist entirely as collectibles for the international novelty coin market — Liberia's name and nominal face value providing the technical framework for foreign distributors.
