| Obverse description | Left-facing profile effigy of the Statue of Liberty dominates the obverse field, rendered in a modern sculptural style. A stylized gear privy mark appears in the design, symbolizing industry and innovation; for the 2026 issue, this privy mark incorporates a Liberty Bell alongside the inscription '250' to commemorate the semiquincentennial of the founding of the United States. The denomination '$1' appears prominently, accompanied by the national motto 'IN GOD WE TRUST' in the field. |

Minnesota's innovation dollar has not yet entered production as of early 2025, with the U.S. Mint's American Innovation series continuing its systematic rollout of four states per year since 2019. The program was authorized under the American Innovation $1 Coin Act of 2018, which directed Treasury to honor a "significant innovation, inventor, or pioneer" from each state and territory — a mandate broad enough that the selected honoree for Minnesota had not been publicly confirmed at the time of cataloging.
