| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two agile gibbons (Hylobates agilis) are depicted in dynamic poses amid stylised tree branches with foliage, conveying a sense of movement and natural habitat. One gibbon swings prominently in the foreground while a second extends across the upper field, both rendered in bold relief. The legend AGILE GIBBON arcs along the upper left periphery, and the denomination $1 appears in the lower field. A circular border frames the composition, emphasising the wildlife subject matter in a clean, modern engraving style. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Sierra Leone's wildlife coin program, active through the 2000s and into the 2010s, was largely a revenue exercise — these pieces circulated nominally but were aimed squarely at the collector market. The agile gibbon (Hylobates agilis) is native to Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula, making its appearance on a Sierra Leonean coin purely commercial rather than zoological.
