| Obverse description | The coat of arms of the Republic of Palau rendered in high relief at center, depicting a traditional Palauan bai (meeting house) flanked by decorative elements, with a frigate bird in full flight above. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, accompanied by a ring of eight five-pointed stars on either side of the shield. The inscription RAINBOW'S END appears within the lower portion of the arms, with the denomination 1$ struck below the shield in the lower field. The entire design is executed in silk finish on the rectangular gold flan. |
