Anmerkungen

The P#71A is part of a series the Central Bank of the Bahamas rolled out to address mounting counterfeiting concerns in the Caribbean tourism corridor, where high volumes of small-denomination transactions made low-denomination notes a practical target. De La Rue had produced Bahamian currency for decades by this point, and the relationship shows in the consistency of the security thread placement across successive issues.

The watermark and embedded thread combination was considered adequate for the denomination but not the most technically advanced package De La Rue was offering by 2015.
