Redonda is a uninhabited half-square-mile volcanic rock in the Caribbean that has been claimed by a succession of self-appointed "kings" since the 1860s, when Matthew Dowdy Shiell declared sovereignty and named it after his son — the future science fiction writer M.P. Shiel. The "Kingdom" has no permanent population, no government infrastructure, and no monetary system, making this a purely novelty issue with no circulation history by definition.
