The P#2R designation indicates a remainder — unissued stock that was never formally released into circulation, which accounts for why remainders survive in better condition than any genuinely circulated examples of this series.

The dollar denomination reflects the transitional monetary thinking of the period, when Mongolian authorities were still orienting their currency system before the tögrög was introduced later that same year, effectively rendering this entire Treasury series obsolete almost immediately after printing.
