Obverse description Brown on pale ground, with Chinese characters reading 香港上海滙理銀行 across the top margin. The central vignette presents the corporation's arms — a crowned shield with a sailing vessel — flanked by two denomination panels each reading '$1'. A guilloche underprint in red overlays the body of the note.
