| Obverse description | Central field features an elaborate abstract design composed of interlocking elliptical curves forming a trefoil-like knot motif at the centre, surrounded by a ring of five-pointed stars arranged in a circular pattern along the mid-field. The design is executed in high relief with fine guilloche-style engraving on the central knot element. The legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA is inscribed along the upper rim, with the date 2002 and denomination 1$ continuing along the right side of the periphery in Latin characters. |
