备注

Disney Dollars launched in May 1987 as a proprietary scrip redeemable at Disney parks and resort shops — a closed-loop currency designed as much to be kept as a souvenir as spent. That retention rate was the point: unredeemed notes represented pure profit, a mechanism Disney openly acknowledged. The first series denominations were $1, $5, and $10, with the $1 note featuring the "Series A" designation printed on the face.

The Scrooge McDuck treasurer signature on the $1 is a deliberate in-joke — Uncle Scrooge being, canonically, the wealthiest fictional duck in existence. Later series rotated signatories, making the 1987 originals the only notes bearing his name in that role.
