| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays a two-line Arabic inscription in raised relief, rendered in a bold, archaic script consistent with the hammered gold coinage of the Samudra-Pasai Sultanate. The legend, proclaiming the ruler's title as the just sultan, is centrally positioned within the field and enclosed by a beaded circle border. The pellets of the beaded border are clearly articulated despite the small flan diameter, demonstrating the skill of the die-cutter. The irregular, slightly lobate rim is a characteristic feature of hand-struck coinage of this period and region. |
