| Reverse description | Central field displays a multi-line Arabic Kufic legend arranged in horizontal registers within a plain inner circle, typical of Qarakhanid silver dirhams. The inscription likely bears the ruler's name and titles, including those of Sulayman b. Yusuf. A peripheral marginal legend in Kufic script encircles the central die, separated by concentric fillets, and may record the mint of Yarkand and the regnal year. The flan exhibits irregular edges and surface cracking consistent with hammered production techniques of 11th-century Central Asia. Small decorative pellets or diacritical marks are visible within the field. |
