背面描述 Central field filled with multiple horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic script arranged in registers, bearing the name of the Abbasid caliph al-Ta'i' li-llah and Buyid honorifics. The legends include the Prophetic formula 'Muhammad Rasul Allah salla Allahu alayhi' followed by the name of the reigning caliph al-Ta'i' li-llah, and the full titulature of Sharaf al-Dawla Abu al-Fawaris Adud al-Dawla. The flan is irregular and the strike is slightly off-center, consistent with hand-hammered Buyid provincial coinage of the late 4th century AH.

附加信息

Sharaf al-Dawla's reign lasted only from 983 to 989, cut short by his death at roughly thirty years old — a brevity that makes issues from his tenure genuinely scarce across all mints. Suq al-Ahwaz, situated on the Karun River in Khuzestan, was a commercially active entrepôt whose mint output reflected trade rather than political ceremony.

The Buyid amirate operated under Abbasid nominal suzerainty while exercising real power, a tension visible in the coinage itself — the caliph's name retained by administrative convention, Buyid authority asserted beneath it.
