| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic Kufic legend arranged in horizontal registers within a single circular border. The inscriptions, typical of Abbasid-influenced Islamic coinage, carry the shahada and additional religious formulae. A marginal legend in cursive Arabic script runs continuously around the outer periphery between two concentric linear borders. The flan is irregularly shaped, as characteristic of hammered medieval Islamic dirhams, with some weakness in the strike at the margins. |

| Reverse description | Central field displays a multi-line Arabic Kufic legend arranged in horizontal registers, referencing the Abbasid caliph and the Marwanid ruler Nasr al-Dawla. The legends are contained within a single inner circular border, with a continuous marginal inscription in Arabic script running between two concentric linear borders around the periphery. The coin exhibits characteristic die-shift and surface cracking consistent with hammered silver coinage of the early 5th century AH. The field shows natural patination and light encrustation typical of excavated medieval Islamic silver. |
