Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic religious and dynastic legend arranged within a raised circular border, itself enclosed by a wider concentric marginal band bearing a continuous Arabic inscription in Kufic script. The flan is irregular with uneven, chipped edges characteristic of hammered billon dirhams of the period. The inner legend likely contains the Shahada and acknowledgment of the Abbasid caliph, while the outer marginal legend records the mint, date, or ruler's name. Surface shows heavy darkening consistent with billon oxidation.
