Obverse description Central field bearing the Arabic mint inscription 'ضرب مراكش' (struck in Marrakesh) rendered in bold Maghrebi script, with decorative pellets and a small floral ornament interspersed among the letters. The legend is enclosed within a single incuse circular border. The flan is irregular in shape, typical of hammered coinage of the Alaoui Sultanate period.

Reverse description Central field displaying the Hijri date '1186' in large, stylized Arabic-Maghrebi numerals arranged within an interlaced cartouche of curved strokes, flanked by small floral and star-shaped ornaments at the cardinal points. The composition is enclosed within a circular beaded or plain border. The irregular flan edges are characteristic of the hand-struck dirham coinage issued under Sultan Mohammed III.
