| Obverse description | Central field bearing multiple horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic script arranged in parallel registers, typical of Abbasid-influenced Islamic coinage. The legends occupy the full field with no decorative border visible, the inscription presenting the Shahada and related religious formulae. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-struck hammered production. The strike is moderately well-centered, with some weakness in areas toward the periphery. The surface shows natural age patina and moderate wear across the high points of the lettering. |
